Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client based in Erith. Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working hygiene operative to join them on an ongoing basis.

Duties include:

  • Removing debris and dirt from all surfaces
  • Using a pressure washer to remove tough debris and grease
  • Conducting clean as you go in production areas
  • Carrying out opening checks - filling/refilling of dispensers (soap, tissue, hand sanitiser, detergent in trigger bottles and disinfectants)
  • Site cleaners are required to work both inside and outside (outside cleaning is conducted during daylight hours only. Candidates are not not expected to clean outside during rainy/snowy days)

Tasks within the role includes:

  • Use all chemicals appropriately and safely according to the COSHH regulations
  • Follow cleaning schedule and work according to cleaning instruction
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is well maintained and reporting any faults to your manager promptly
  • Ensure that all cleaning tasks are carried out in a timely and safe manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and housekeeping at all times
  • Safe and careful handling of cleaning chemicals
  • Washing of crates/baskets, bins and trays
  • Filling/refilling of dispensers, soap, tissue, hand sanitiser, detergent in trigger bottles and disinfectants in the morning before the production starts
  • Any other relevant duties as requested by management
  • Previous hygiene experience is beneficial, although full training will be given.

Starting salary of £11.44 (with paid breaks)

Hours: A rotating Monday to Friday shift is worked:

Week one - Monday to Thursday 6am-2.15pm, Fridays 6am-1.30pm

Week two - Monday to Thursday 2pm-10.15pm, Fridays 12.30pm-8pm
